After having my second daughter, I decided that I wanted to pivot my career into becoming a full time therapist. My own personal therapy helped me make changes and guide my life in the
direction I want it to go AND help me cope when life throws some unexpected events my way. I had spent the previous 20 years in corporate, heading up Human Resources departments.
Between some very long nights being a part time student and being a full time mother, I earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University. I went on to help my local community by becoming a Clinician, then eventually the Director of two Residential Programs for clients with mental health and substance use disorders in Bridgeport, CT.
The work there was incredibly valuable to me and allowed me to hone my skills into the clinician I am proud to be today. For the past couple of years, I have had a full time private practice
where I see Individuals, Couples and Families. I am a level one trained in Gottman Couples therapy. I work with couples on understanding their patterns of conflict that deteriorates the
relationship and learn new ways of connection.
Most recently I just received my Reiki Masters Certificate where I intend on helping other individuals learn and practice the ancient art of Reiki. Reiki, a form of energy healing, is a practice that is used to reduce stress, improve health and quality of life, and support physical and emotional healing.
Change is hard, and I am honored to be trusted with the parts of clients’ lives that are difficult. If I can be helpful to you and/or your family, please reach out today!
